SuperFrio inaugurates its 5th Distribution Center in Ribeirão Preto, with cutting edge project to serve the seed market

SuperFrio started operations in August of the most modern distribution center focused on seed operations in Brazil; project is the result of a long-term partnership and relationship with one of its main customers – one of the largest seed producing companies in the world.

SuperFrio, a company controlled by Patria Investimentos, and one of the leaders in the refrigerated logistics industry in South America, invested R$ 20 million in the construction of a state-of-the-art CD dedicated to one of its main customers, in the city of Ribeirão Preto/SP, on the banks of the Anhanguera Highway. The venture is aligned with the company's strategy of strengthening and prioritizing long-term relationships with its customers.

The new logistics center has a capacity of about 15,000 pallet positions, approximately 75,000m3, in addition to 22 docks, 3 platforms to serve Bitrem and Rodotrem vehicles, a wide antechamber of 16 meters wide and 600 m2 of offices. All CD operations are performed with RF technology and backed by JDA's WMS, a global reference in refrigerated logistics operations. SuperFrio's Integrated Management System (SGI) guarantees high quality standards as well as the protection of its customers' brand.

The project is the 12th unit of SuperFrio, and represents an important milestone in the company's strategy, whose vision is to be the first option in refrigerated logistics in South America by 2023. In the new unit, the company offers storage, handling, picking, inventory management and other services that add value to the seed business, always in temperature controlled environments.

“CD Ribeirão Preto V strengthens a long-term relationship with one of our main customers, and is part of the company's strategy to grow in the seed market; we believe in the potential of Brazilian agribusiness, and soon we will offer logistics solutions in other important agricultural regions,” said Francisco Moura, CEO of SuperFrio.

“Our growth plan will continue to be guided by strengthening the relationship with our customers, and we will undertake organic expansions and acquisitions to meet needs not currently met by the market. In 2019, in addition to the acquisition of the Cascavel/PR unit, the construction of 4 new CD's and the start of cd works on the RodoAnel, we will also carry out an expansion of the Cambé-Londrina/PR unit to meet the needs of one of our customers.”
